This White Sangria Recipe is the perfect Christmas sangria! The colors are festive and the garnish is bright! You and your guests are going to love the bubbles and the flavor!
The best part about this white sangria is it is easy to swap out flavors and garnishes to fit any season!
Sangria is one of those drinks where if you make it they will come. Seriously, I don’t know anyone who doesn’t get into a good sangria recipe.
This cocktail is easy, can be quite refreshing, adaptable, and ALWAYS appropriate.
I can say there is hardly a holiday or special occasion where my family doesn’t serve up a sangria recipe!
Last year I served up a warm red wine sangria, but this year I’m going to keep it light and crisp!
What Ingredients Are In White Sangria?
Lemonade Concentrate – You can find this with the frozen orange juice in the freezer section of your grocery store.
I mixed in a thawed concentrate, however, if you aren’t going to be serving the sangria right away, it is ok to keep it partially frozen. Doing this will slowly enhance the flavor all while keeping the sangria chilled.
White Grape Juice – Any brand will do. You could even substitute white cranberry juice if you think the grape juice will be too sweet.
Pino Grigio Champagne – If you cannot find this, then Prosecco or champagne will work. You can also use a dry white wine.
Cranberries and Grapes – I found that freezing the fruit doubled as my ice! Also, you can use any fruit to garnish your sangria recipe.
How To Make This White Sangria Recipe
In a large pitcher, stir together the lemonade concentrate and juice. Before serving, add the champagne and add the frozen fruit.
If you are going to make this in advance, it is ok to use traditional pinot grigio and allow the pitcher to sit in the fridge until party time. If you are still searching for some bubbly, feel free to add a little club soda prior to serving.
What Liqueur For White Sangria?
This particular recipe does not feature any liqueur. That being said, you can mix in your favorite flavored vodka or rum into this recipe.
What Wine Is Used For White Sangria?
Almost anything! You can use Pinot Grigio as I have done here, or make your sangria with chardonnay or sauvignon blanc.
You can make white sangria with Moscato, however, because of the grape juice and lemonade, it could taste a little too sweet. You could cut the sweetness with club soda.
What Fruit To Use For White Sangria
For the holidays I like the bright red cranberries and green grapes. But lemon, lime, and orange slices or even kiwi slices would be fantastic. Pomegranate seeds can be used to add a touch of red.
Fresh berries like raspberries, blueberries, and blackberries would taste delicious with the lemonade.
How To Serve White Sangria
Serve this lovely sangria in a large pitcher, you can also use a punch bowl with lots of frozen fruit to keep it cold.
A large beverage dispenser would be wonderful as this recipe can easily be doubled or tripled as needed!
This white sangria recipe is the perfect cocktail at any time of year! It is cool and refreshing in the hot summer but it is festive and fun in the winter! You cannot go wrong with a white sangria recipe!
How Long Will Sangria Last In The Fridge?
Sangria will actually last if chilled in the fridge for about 5 days. However, if you add any citrus slices to the pitcher, I would remove them before storing, and add fresh slices when you consume the sangria again. Certain fruits will disintegrate and turn bitter if left in alcohol too long.
Sangria is one of the few alcoholic concoctions that can be frozen! Again, remove any fruit pieces and place the sangria in a gallon-sized zip-top bag. Sangria can be frozen for 3 months. You can serve the sangria semi-frozen too!
