Weekly Meal Plan Week 51 – 10 great bloggers bringing you a full week of recipes including dinner, sides dishes, and desserts!
Happy 4th of July everyone! As we speak, my kids are busy decorating their bikes for our neighborhood holiday bike parade. It is one my favorite parts of the holiday. All the kids swirl streamers around their bikes and their helmets. They place stars and stripes all over the place. When they are ready, the walk down to the end of our street. Then promptly at 9:30 they all take off and race towards us parents waiting in the cul-de-sac.
The oldest kids are always in the lead, speeding down the street. In the middle, are the kids on training wheels. They try hard to keep up with the leaders, but their little legs and wobbly wheels just aren’t fast enough. The rear is made up of the toddlers on trikes and the parents pulling wagons.
I always wait at the finish line to pass out juice bags and donuts to all the kids. It makes my heart swell seeing all these happy faces race towards the finish line. The whole scene; the racing kids, the streamers, the time with neighbors, makes this holiday so special to me.
