INGREDIENTS

– 1 Vegan Puff Pastry Sheet – 2 Medium size Apples – Lemon juice of 1/2 medium size lemon – 1 Tablespoon Cinnamon – 2 Tablespoons Raw cane sugar/ brown sugar – Powdered sugar -For decorating (optional)
Cook Time: 20 Min
Wash your apples and then cut them into thin slices, with the peel on, using a sharp knife or mandoline.
Take a saucepan over medium heat and place the sliced apples inside with the lemon juice, this will help to keep the apples from turning brown/black.
Unwrap your thawed puff pastry and place it onto a cleaned surface.
Assemble your tartlets by laying the apple slices along the entire edge of one strip, skin side towards you, making them come out of the border.
Roll the strips to themselves to obtain a rose.
Lay your puff pastry roses on it and put a little bit of brown sugar and cinnamon on top. Bake in the oven for 20 minutes.
Sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving (this is optional).
If you don’t want this recipe to be vegan, simply swap out the vegan puff pastry for a regular one you’d pick up at the grocery store.
