Summer Sangria is for the hot summer night’s where you want to kick back and relax with something easy and refreshing.
Easy Summer Sangria Recipe
Baseball season become one long-ass season. My 13-year-old son plays select baseball; training started in January and our season is still going strong. There have been ups and downs, wins, losses and a lot of drama. The end of the season is so close, yet there is so much more baseball to watch, I mean play. At this point in the season, I am ready to have our summer nights free so we can be outside playing games and enjoying S’mores around the fire.
I don’t even care what the other baseball mom’s think, I’m going to have to start toting around this white wine sangria. Although the season is still going to take the same amount of time to complete, it will feel like it’s passing quickly! You don’t need a 7th inning stretch, you need sangria!!
I LOVE making sangria, it is such a great drink for entertaining as you can mix it in a pitcher or a dispenser and let it be! My favorite sangria recipes are Mango Sangria and Cucumber Melon White Sangria. I am partial to white wine sangrias, but sangrias are pretty versatile, you could make a sangria with almost any wine and any fruit. You can also add extras like a flavored liqueur, brandy, vodka, seltzer, lemon-lime soda or juice.
Summer Sangria
This recipe captures the essence of summer, sunshine and sweet fruit. Pineapple juice is mixed with Sauvignon Blanc, triple sec, pineapple seltzer, limes and frozen mango chunks. The frozen fruit keeps the sangria cool and the fruit juice helps flavor the sangria. You could definitely use fresh mangos or any other fruit that you have available, raspberries would be fabulous!
This summer sangria is the white sangria of the season and should be enjoyed as often as possible!
