This sweet and tangy cocktail is a thirst-quencher! This easy drink is light tasting and refreshing, make sure to make a pitcher to share with friends!
It’s been a very hot summer and I don’t know about you, but a foamy, filling beer isn’t usually my drink of choice when I am melting outside. Wine doesn’t do it either.
I do love spike seltzers but after a while, they all start to taste the same. But what is consistenly refreshing is homemade vodka lemonades! These cocktails are surprisingly simply, as they don’t require many ingredients and the possibilities are endless!

How To Make Vodka Lemonade

It really is that simple!
How Much Vodka To Lemonade?
The ingredient amounts in this recipe, like many recipes, are up to your taste. My personal ratio is about 2 parts lemonade to 1 part vodka. The syrup adds sweetness, use as much or as little as your like!
This recipe is adaptable and can easily be made in a pitcher to serve a crowd!
Can I Use Flavored Vodka?
Yes! If you make mixed drinks, you probably already have unflavored vodka. However, you may also already have flavored vodka too! Vanilla, lemon, lime, cherry, strawberry or any berry flavor would work!
.
How Do I Make Strawberry Simple Syrup?
For homemade simple syrup, combine equal parts sugar and water in a small saucepan. Add a good handful of fruit to the mixture and lightly crush them with the back of a spoon.
Allow the mixture to come to a boil and then simmer until sugar has dissolved and the mixture thickens. Strain the mixture over a sieve, pressing the strawberries to release their juices. Allow the syrup to cool.
Store the syrup for up to 3 week in a sealed jar or contianer.
Stir the syrup into your cocktail.
Cocktail Tips
A splash of grenadine can be added to your lemonade! This will also change the color of your cocktail. Grenadine can be on the sweeter side.
If you really want to shake things up, use limeade or add a splash of key lime juice in your cocktail to give this cocktail a tangy, sweet, and tart flavor!
Strawberry-flavored sparkling water or light-colored strawberry soda can be added with lemonade or even in place of the lemonade if desired.
This lemonade can be served without the alcohol.
The only thing I will say about this drink is that it is very easy to drink! If you are inclined to make them stronger, then be warned!
This lemonade is a fun, warm-weather drink to enjoy by the pool or at a BBQ! You can easily double this recipe or make enough for a pitcher to serve a crowd. You are going to love this cocktail, it is going to be your go-to vodka cocktail!
