This Nutella Skillet Brownie Is Heavenly!
Twice a week I take a workout class from the meanest instructor at our gym. She is tough! Her class is difficult and challenging and she expects each and every one of us to work our butts the entire time she is teaching. For the most part, we do, we all work so hard to meet her expectations but after 40 minutes, our tired muscles ache and beg us to give up.
But there is no stopping on her watch. She will look you in the eye and yell at you, she will call you out for bad form, she will shake her head, roll her eyes and point blank ask you why you are here if you aren’t going to work hard.
This instructor fails to realize that how hard we work is really none of her business. We all have limitations and if we are just lazy then it is only ourselves that suffer. Her job is to instruct and make sure our form isn’t going to kill us. That is it. Yet, every single class she teaches is completely packed. I can’t explain why the other ladies show up for the abuse, but I know my reason is simple. I love dessert.
About This Nutella Skillet Brownie
There really isn’t too much to say about this recipe. It is a mix and go sort of recipe. A good brownie skillet recipe has to start with a good skillet. I used a 12-inch cast iron skillet and I melted chocolate and butter together right there in the skillet. The chocolate mixture gets combined with flour, cocoa powder, sugar, eggs, and of course, Nutella as well as chocolate chips. The batter goes back into the skillet where it will be baked to perfection!
This skillet brownie is best when served warm, right out of the oven. Top it with ice cream and perhaps some caramel or chocolate sauce for true decadence! This Skillet Cookie Recipe and these Quick Cinnamon Rolls with Blueberries are also great recipes to use with your skillet!
