What Is Chocolate Coffee?
There might many variations to this recipe, especially when coffee shops are involved, but this recipe I am sharing with you today is so easy and delicious!
All you need for this recipe is coffee, chocolate sauce, mint extract and half and half. I used my Hamilton Beach Flexbrew to start my coffee. I love this coffee maker, as I can easily make a whole pot of coffee to share or make just one cup when I only need a little pick me up! This coffee maker uses ground coffee for the carafe and K-cups for the single cup. It is the best of both worlds.
How To Make Chocolate Coffee?
This recipe starts with brewed coffee. I used my Hamilton Beach Flexbrew and my favorite ground coffee to brew a pot of coffee. You can use your favorite flavor and brand for this and it doesn’t have to be anything too fancy. Combine your brewed coffee and sugar in a small saucepan, heat, and stir until the sugar melts, then add a little mint extract. Meanwhile, pour chocolate sauce into the bottom of each mug and fill the mug with your minty coffee. Add half and half or drink it black. I do own a small frother, so I made my half and half nice and foamy before I poured it into my coffee but this is by no means necessary.
Mint chocolate coffee is a perfect way to enjoy the moments with family visiting over the holidays or to escape the hustle of the holiday and enjoy a cup of coffee alone with your thoughts. Enjoy your perfect cup of coffee with these Hazelnut Banana Muffins or this Milk and Cookies Snack Cake! The Hamilton Beach Flexbrew makes it easy to enjoy coffee any time and anyway. This flexbrew will make an excellent gift this holiday season.

Mmmm this sounds so good! I’m planning on making it and putting it in the refrigerator to cool. Then I’ll pour over ice cubes for iced chocolate mint iced coffee. I’ll use Splenda and sugar free chocolate syrup for a diabetic treat that can’t be beat!

This sounds like a nice after dinner drink. Do you think decaf will work as well?
