What Is A Meatball Pizza?
A meatball pizza is like spaghetti and meatballs and pepperoni pizza coming together in one meal (minus the spaghetti of course), This pizza is filling and oh so satisfying, everyone is going to love this skillet pizza and you are going to love how simple it is to make! A few pre-made ingredients will make short work of this pizza!

How To Prepare Meatball Pizza
This recipe starts with a cast-iron skillet and a store-bought pizza dough. Do you have to use a cast-iron skillet? No, but I do like the ease and I do like how the pizza bottom is perfectly browned.
Feel free to use a pizza pan or a pizza stone in place of the cast-iron skillet!
About the dough; my favorite pizza dough comes in a small bag in the freezer section of my local Kroger store. It is as close to homemade as I can find. It is easy to handle and tastes really good.
Use your favorite or use a tube pizza dough and press the dough into your cast iron skillet.
I like to pre-bake the dough for about 7 minutes. This ensures that it can handle the toppings without getting soggy. The dough will be nice and crisp with a little head start!
Let’s talk about those toppings; I used my favorite pizza sauce (although leftover homemade marinara sauce would be fabulous) and my favorite frozen precooked meatballs (or make the homemade meatballs from this meatball sub recipe).
These can be beef, chicken, turkey or Italian sausage meatballs…pizza makers choice! Toss the meatballs over the crust, add pepperoni and cheese and bake the pizza for an additional 35 minutes or so!
What Else Goes On A Meatball Pizza?
You can easily turn this pizza into a meat-lovers pizza by adding bacon or ham to this pizza.
But other possible toppings are:
Green Peppers
Onions
Black Olives
Jalapenos
Mushrooms
You can almost add any of your favorite toppings to this pizza!
What Goes Well With Meatball Pizza
I say keep it fresh and simple. Serve up an easy spinach salad, or a mixed greens and citrus salad.
