Nothing is quite as refreshing this minty, cool agua fresca recipe!
Each sip of this drink is minty, tart and sweet!
My kids love to have lemonade stands. While I admire their enterprising ambitions, I pretty much hate letting my kids sell things to our neighbors.
I suppose I take it all too personally. I feel like I am asking my neighbors for money through my kids. If my kids were selling something good, that would be one thing, but while my kids have a surplus of creativity, they lack quality merchandise.
In addition to the classic lemonade, our kids have sold pencils they found laying around the house. My youngest once sold pipe cleaner holiday ornaments, another time the kids sold melted ice pops that they marketed as “juice” and yet another time the kids sold rubber band bracelets.
I typically allow the kids to make a lemonade stand but insist on cashless transactions. It’s ok to give the lemonade away and only take money if our neighbors insist on paying.
This theory changed the day I made this agua fresca recipe. This is the kind of beverage that is so refreshing, that everyone will want some! This year I will personally hold an agua fresca stand and I will charge for every single cup!

Agua Fresca’s are a great way to capitalize on seasonal fruit. They are easy to make and healthy than store-bought processed fruit juices.

You may have to press the mixture as your strain it, again, this is to make sure you get as much flavor as possible!
I would remove any large piece of herbs, they will turn bitter if left whole while refrigerated.
Play around with the sugar! You can add more or less depending on taste. You can also use a sugar substitute, or even maple syrup or honey!
