Frozen wine, apple cider, vodka, and liqueur make these the perfect fall flavored wine slushies!
When my kids were little, I couldn’t make it through a Target trip without bribing each kid with an Icee. Each cold and frosty beverage would buy me at least 20 minutes of peaceful shopping. Once those 20 minutes were up, however, all bets were off. I either had to run to the checkout with only half of my shopping list completed or concede to buying one more Matchbox car and one more coloring book.
SEE HOW TO MAKE THIS RECIPE:
I think Target should serve wine slushies to the moms. Why should kids have all the fun? My shopping experience would be way better, with or without the kids. I would be happier, I’d probably spend more, I would be able to tolerate just about anything. Line at the pharmacy? No biggie. I’ll just sip on my wine slushie. Need to check on inventory? Sure! I’ll just wait with my wine slushie. My kids throwing a tantrum? Well, I can handle that too! I think this is a genius and delicious idea.
These caramel apple slushies are genius too. They start with pinot grigio that I froze in ice cube trays. Pinot is my favorite white wine, and it is also mild enough to be combined with the other flavors in this drink. Once frozen I blended these up with real apple cider, caramel vodka, apple liqueur and a touch of sugar. You can add more of anything to this recipe to make it suit your tastes. Also, if you prefer to have a more frozen consistency, toss in a few ice cubes. This recipe is so easy but tastes just like a frozen caramel apple. This cocktail is so good, you’ll forget it even has alcohol!
*This post is purely in jest (except for the bribing part, I did do that). I do NOT advocate drinking around kids or drinking and driving.*

I agree with you! Adults need to have their slushies too! This sounds like a perfect recipe to have around when watching a great movie! There’s nothing like the refreshing taste of sweet mixed with alcohol!
