This Cajun shrimp pizza is just the thing to throw together on busy nights.
This naan bread pizza has simple ingredients that make turns a simple bread into a gourmet meal!
My husband asked me the other day how I come up with recipe ideas over and over again. That’s was a good question. Sometimes I get inspired by meals I’ve tried at various restaurants or recipes and images I’ve seen in magazines. Sometimes I am inspired to make a variation of my recipes, or I try to simplify my mom’s Greek recipes. Occasionally they come without inspiration; they just pop into my head. My mind is always working. I think about food all the time.
There are times where my mind is an absolute blank. During these times I turn to Pinterest. This is why I’m thrilled to partner with Kroger to introduce Board to Table, an iOS app that allows you to turn the ingredients from the recipes you pinned into a ready made shopping list. Board to Table is a new app currently only available in trial mode. Only a limited number of customers will be able to download it, so act now!
The process is so simple. You will not both the Pinterest and Board to Table apps. The Board to Table app will load all your boards and pins (If you have a lot of Pinterest pins, it might take a few minutes for all of them to load). From here it only takes minutes to turn the ingredients found on your favorite pins into a grocery list that will appear right on your Kroger app. Take your Kroger app with your reward card and coupons straight to Kroger. Shopping for your favorite pinned recipes doesn’t get any easier than this!
I used one of my pins for Cajun shrimp to create this simple naan bread pizza. This shrimp pizza recipe is easy and made with ingredients readily available. Seasoned shrimp, peppered bacon and, peppers and feta cheese turn simple a basic idea into a pizza worthy of any fancy pizza place! Cajun Shrimp Pizza {Naan Bread Pizza} and Board to Table
A simple way to enjoy spiced up shrimp!
4 slices of bacon ( I used Private Selection Three Peppercorn Smoked Bacon)
1 16oz bag precooked shrimp (Simple Truth)
¾ teaspoon paprika
½ teaspoon thyme
½ teaspoon oregano
¼ teaspoon onion powder
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon pepper
2 teaspoons olive oil, divided
2 packages of Naan bread (2 pack)
2 cloves of garlic, minced
¼ cup diced red bell pepper
¼ cup diced yellow bell pepper
4 oz crumbled feta cheese
Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Cook bacon until crisp, remove to a paper towel-lined plate to drain. Wipe skillet clean and return to heat. Add one teaspoon of olive oil.
In a bowl, toss together the shrimp, paprika, thyme, oregano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Add shrimp to hot skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes.
Arrange naan on baking sheets. Drizzle each with 1/2 teaspoon of olive oil and one clove of garlic. Add one tablespoon of diced red pepper and yellow pepper on each naan bread. Chop cooked bacon and divide bacon between each pizza. Arrange shrimp over the pizzas and top with crumbled feta.
Broil pizza on low for 2-3 minutes or until the naan bread crisps on around the edges and feta begins to melt.
