Balsamic chicken is an easy way to serve up chicken; it is flavorful and only requires a handful of ingredients! You’ll want to add this to your weekly menu! Pair this chicken with an Easy Spinach Salad or a Lemony Kale Salad for the perfect meal!
What is Balsamic Chicken?
Balsamic chicken is chicken breasts that have been marinated with balsamic vinegar and a blend of herbs. It is an easy way to spruce up such a humble protein. There are so many ways to marinade chicken, but if you are looking for a marinade that only requires a handful of ingredients then this is the one!
How To Make Balsamic Chicken?
I love how simple this recipe comes together! Combine chicken breasts, balsamic vinegar and the herbs in a large ziplock bag and place them in the refrigerator for at least an hour. When you are ready, bake the chicken in an oven that has been heated to 450 degrees. The chicken will take about 25-30 to cook. Your chicken is ready when it reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees.
This marinade will work with any kind of chicken, not just chicken breasts. You could use chicken thighs, legs or even chicken wings. Regardless of the type of chicken, just be sure to check the internal temperature.

What To Serve With Balsamic Chicken?
This is somewhat a matter of taste, but I am partial to Hummus Roasted Potatoes, Parmesan Herb Roasted Cauliflower, Spinach and Pesto Orzo Salad, or Hot Bacon and Brussels Sprout Salad. But risotto, mashed potatoes, steamed veggies or rice are all fantastic options. The balsamic vinegar will lose a little of its “tang” during the baking, but nevertheless, I wouldn’t pair it with a side that has a strong, competing vinegar based flavoring. A mellow flavor as with the hummus potatoes or even the salty bacon in the Brussels sprouts works really well with this marinade.
