Spicy seafood boil recipe
This recipe makes a lot of food, looks impressive, and pleases everyone! Best of all, it requires hardly any work on my part! So simple. If you can boil water, you can do a shrimp boil! I will say that you do need a few good stockpots, but that’s about it. Forks and plates are totally optional. A big table, paper towels, and newspapers preferred! Serve with butter and cocktail sauce on the side.

FAQs
How long to boil shrimp in the shell?
It really doesn’t take long at all to cook shrimp. Usually, it’s about 2-5 minutes depending on the size of the shrimp, and thanks to the shell on the outside a lot of heat protection is added so that the shrimp don’t overcook as easily as it would without it.
Can shrimp boil be frozen?
You can freeze leftovers for later. Place the seafood boil into an airtight container and remove as much air as possible. Freeze for up to 3 months. When ready to eat place it all into a crockpot over low heat for 6-8 hours with about 8 cups of added water.

You’ve done your job! I’ve never made a shrimp boil, but you sold me on how it’s great for feeding a big group. Not only do I cook for my family of 6 (4 adults & 2 teens), but when we have more family over, we tend to go for pizza to feed everyone. This sounds easy enough and would be a really nice change of pace.
Lemonsforlulu says
I really do make this several times a year. I find that people of all ages enjoy this meal! Thank you Brandie!
