Guinness milkshake? You bet!
Thick and hearty Guinness beer is blended with smooth Bailey’s Irish Cream, and two kinds of ice cream are blended until smooth, creamy, and delicious!
Every once in a while, I crave a good Guinness beer. There is something about that dark, thick liquid that calls to me. I heard once, that the founder of Guinness beer originally took out a 9000-year lease on his brewery. 9000 years!!
I’d say the makers of Guinness knew they were going to be around a long time. Makes me love Guinness even more. And when it comes to St. Patrick’s day and all things Irish, is there anything better than Guinness beer??
How To Make A Guinness Milkshake
This recipe, I use the word recipe loosely, is a great way to incorporate Guinness into an everyday treat. While you can stir Guinness into a Chocolate Toffee Stout Ice Cream Recipe, Guinness Chocolate Cake and Guinness Black Bottom Cupcakes, a milkshake is easy and fun to make. Plus, who doesn’t love a milkshake?
I used vanilla ice cream, mint chocolate chip ice cream Guinness stout beer, and a touch of Bailey’s Irish Cream. While I list measurements, note, that the quantities are pretty much up to you!
I garnished my milkshakes simply with a few chocolate chips, but sprinkles, shaved chocolate, or mint chocolates like Andes mints are all great ways to top off your milkshakes!

How To Change Up A Guinness Milkshake?
-Chocolate ice cream in place of the vanilla ice cream
-Add a touch of Creme de Menthe to add mint and a tint of green color.
-Omit the Bailey’s Irish Cream and add a splash of Irish whiskey instead.
-For a fruity twist on this stout milkshake, try this Guinness Stout Ice Cream Float.
Guinness Milkshake Is One Boozy Milkshake!
Milkshakes appeal to both adults and kids, but a boozy milkshake is adult only fun! My favorite boozy milkshakes are Boozy Pumpkin Pie Milkshake, Bourbon Strawberry Milkshake, Cinnamon Toast Milkshake, or Boozy Shamrock Shake.
If you need a sweet, creamy, yet boozy way to celebrate ANY occasion, not just St. Patty’s day, then you must serve up this Guinness Milkshake!
