What Is Black Bean Dip?
This black bean dip is a blend of cream cheese, pureed black beans, chipotle peppers, spices and cheese that is the perfect appetizer for any party or game day. Salty tortilla chips are the perfect vehicle for scooping up this creamy, smokey flavored dip!
Some bean dips are served cold, just like this Jalapeno White Bean Dip, but most often they are served piping hot and covered in cheese.

How To Make Black Bean Dip
One of the best things about this recipe is that the entire recipe is made in a food processor. You need to make sure that you start with softened cream cheese so that the dip comes out smooth and creamy. To the food processor add rinsed and drained black beans, sour cream, lime juice, cilantro, and garlic. The smokey, spicy flavor in this dip comes from a little cumin but a bigger part comes from a chipotle pepper. These peppers are found in a can and are swimming in an adobo sauce. The sauce is spicy and peppery and the sauce and the peppers together add quite a bit of flavor.
Once everything is combined, pour the black bean dip into a baking dish and top it all off with shredded cheddar cheese. This dip will take about only about 15 minutes to bake up all hot bubbly.
Serve this dip with bread rounds, veggies, or tortilla chips and watch it disappear!

This is the kind of dish that I’d head for at a party without asking what it was. Anything hot with cheese on top has got to be good. Your dip, with that flavor combination, surely wouldn’t disappoint.
